Providing Sport & Performance Psychology Services for Athletes and High Achievers
Meet Dr. Cohn
Hi, I'm Dr. Dan Cohn. I work with people who are driven to excel - athletes, performers, and professionals who want to optimize themselves, not just in competition or high-stakes moments, but in all of the areas of their lives that matter to them.
My work combines principles of both clinical and performance psychology. For athletes, that can mean working through performance anxiety or the pressure of high-stakes competition. For professionals, it can mean managing stress, improving focus, or building mental resilience that sustains long-term success.
I use evidence-based approaches - namely, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - to help clients develop skills to help them more effectively navigate the often inevitable challenges that they face. I'm licensed in PA and NJ, credentialed through PsyPact for telehealth across participating states, and listed on the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee Mental Health Directory.
In addition to individual therapy, I offer workshops for groups and teams in sport, performing arts, business, law, and medicine designed to deepen awareness of how the mind influences well-being and performance. These workshops provide practical, evidence-based tools that participants can begin applying immediately to improve focus, resilience, decision-making, and overall performance in their particular field.
